- 15 g butter (for the gratin dish)
- 25 cl cream
- 250 g cantal cheese
- 1 teaspoon tomato concentrate (especially for color)
- Pepper and salt to taste
- Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and season the asparagus with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the cream, tomato concentrate, a pinch of paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Butter the baking dish and arrange the asparagus inside.
- Pour the cream mixture over the asparagus.
- Shave the cantal cheese on top and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbling.
- Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Tip: Substitute cantal with Gruyère for a different flavor. Leftovers keep well in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
